What is Project Flashlights?

Project Flashlights is a youth-led social impact organization working at the intersection of education, dignity, and community transformation.

At Flashlights, we recognize that poverty is not merely an economic condition,
it is deeply linked to limited access, reduced exposure, and the absence of enabling ecosystems. Our work, therefore, goes beyond education delivery. We design and implement community-centered interventions that restore confidence, unlock potential, and create pathways for long-term change.

Over the years, Flashlights has grown from a volunteer-driven initiative into a structured, community-powered institution. Registered as Flashlight Welfare Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Certified under 80G, enabling transparent and accountable giving.

Our work spans initiatives such as community learning spaces, fellowship programs, urban inclusion efforts, and civic action campaigns rooted in a single belief:

Flashlights has given me a chance to be the change that I want to see in the world. Working with team Flashlights has been a life-changing experience for me. From teaching kids in slum pathshala to handling operational work and executing various projects, I have grown both personally and professionally. I am working with team flashlights from last 1 year 6 months and it was a wonderful experience, where I started from teaching kids in slum pathshala, teaching them dance, and now working for execution of our different projects. Mujhe har cheez seekhne ka shouk hai or activities se lekar padai tak kisi jaroortmand ko sikhaya jaye isse achchha or kya hi hoga to ye padane or sikhane ka mouka mujhe Project Flashlights ke zariya se mila. Is anubhav ko shabdo mai baya krna thoda mushkil hoga pr yah anubhav sirf jiyaa ja skta hai un pyare bchcho ke sath! ❤
